ProTK App Wizard

Visual C++6® and Pro/TOOLKIT®

General

Pro/ENGINEER® provides an API called Pro/TOOLKIT® that can be used to significantly customize your Pro/E installation. You must have a license for Pro/TOOLKIT® and the libraries and headers must be installed for the custom app wizard to help you. You must also ensure that Visual C++ can find the libraries and headers.

Software

This custom app wizard is very preliminary and is, at best, a beta version. Subsequent effort and enhancement will be based on economics. If potential customers indicate a willingness to purchase a more comprehensive, supported version, the project will be expanded. Please contact MEBBS E&S if you are interested in seeing this project expand.

Download and Install

Download A_ProTKGen.awx from this location.

Copy the file to your ....\MSVisualStudio\Common\MSDev98\Template directory or refer to documentation if your installation is different.

Use the wizard

From Visual C++®, use the File -> New menu. Pick the Projects dialog tab as shown.

Select the A_ProTK AppWizard option from the list. This will be displayed only if you have stored the A_ProTKGen.awx file in the proper location.
Enter the information required and you will have a skeleton Pro/TOOLKIT DLL application complete with registry and menu files.
